Do you have an amateur radio license?

Ham account

We compare your name and address with the public FCC ULS record (the FCC publishes licensee name, address, and class). The fastest automatic verification is proving your LoTW account, which you can do after this form, or an email match where a directory has published one. Otherwise a moderator reviews a licence upload. A name-and-ZIP match alone does not auto-verify. Club callsigns go to the queue. ULS does not contain licensee email.

Listeners can listen to channels and talk in general chat rooms, including echo test 9999, after the email link. Transmitting on amateur channels, RF-linked groups, and originating traffic onto amateur radio stays limited to verified licensees.

A licence is a weekend of study for a lot of people, and it is the key that lets you transmit.
